Well I so wanted to take a nice picture of the new FJR in Kansas.
Just a miniute am I stupid or what? It’s flat full of feed lots and smells like cow Poo!
My friend and I had a great Mexican dinner and a big ole breakfast then back on the road home. His new BMW LT 1200 is a real sweet ride. (Yes I am withholding his name on purpose.)
I got to put just over 1000 miles on the new bike . It worked flawlessly . The fuel Cell transferred well. Looks like I will be able to run right at 350 miles at standard FJR speed between stops. I ran it 325 and still had 1 gal. to spare when I filled up. The bike handled and rode great! I have a few small changes to make to get the comfort just how I want it.
My friend Carman will be starting on the hand tooled leather seat tomorrow Feb 21,2011 woo hoo! I am going to move the backrest back 1 more inch and move the highway pegs forward 2.5 moore inches. That should give me enough room to move about all I need to stay in the seat 20 hr per day.
